Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I loved him as a child. When I visit Algonac I always look for the house. May you rest in peace. Safe travels, Mr Brown.

Jackie and family, we are so sorry for your loss of Ross. As my golf partner for years, I couldn't ask for a better friend. I will always miss his humor as he could crack me up in a flash. I know God has called him home to be the person who we all knew and loved. We will miss him, but he is where we all want to get to. LOL. Rick and Lois.

Dear Jackie, I know Ross' passing is a huge loss for you and your family. Please know that Amy and my prayers are for all of you in this time of mourning. "Mr Brown" (as I always knew him) was always a lot of fun and very cheerful, even when faced with an onslaught of middle schoolers! We need so many people like your Ross in this world. Love, Jeff

Mr. Brown was an amazing mentor and teacher to me. He saved me from the bullies throughout my seventh grade year and taught me that I am better than anything those mean children would say. He was the best teacher I’ve ever had and he instilled in me a love of art and love of the natural beauty around us. He mentored my dad when he was a student of his (and one of Steve’s best friends). He will be greatly missed, God must have needed another artist to try to make the world beautiful again and there is a special place for him in Heaven. I just wish my kids would have had the opportunity to get to know him better and have had him as a teacher.

So thankful that we have had the Brown family in our lives for many years that provided so many wonderful memories. My dad always said "friends are the family you choose for yourself" - Jackie & Ross Brown were our bonus Aunt & Uncle, sharing many of life's important moments with us, both happy & otherwise. Sending love, hugs and heartfelt condolences.
