Grace Marie Szucsansky

December 30, 1928 - September 30, 2020

 

A private family service will be held in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, MI.  Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp., MI.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made the Alzheimer’s Association.

(Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, facial coverings and social distancing requirements will be in effect at both the Funeral Home and Cemetery locations)

 

Grace M. Szucsansky age 91 of East China Twp., MI passed away September 30, 2020 in the Mallards Landing Assisted Living.  She was born December 30, 1928 in Meadowlands, PA. to the late Roy and Mary (nee Supek) Coneby.  She married Charles Kaminski in 1948 in Washington, PA., he passed away in 1972.  She married Joseph Szucsansky in 1996 in Mt. Clemens, MI. he passed away in 2012.

Grace retired from the City of Sterling Heights Water Department on September 27, 1991 after 25 years of services.  She loved to exercise, bowl, and dance.  She traveled extensively, including her trips to Europe and Hawaii.  She loved her children but adored her grand and great grandchildren, especially celebrating with all 9 girls at special “Girls Day”.

Mrs. Szucsansky is survived by her daughters Sharron (Joel) Kaminski Disbro of South Lyon, MI. and Elaine (Brian) Kaminski Borawski, of Algonac, MI., granddaughters Heather (Michael) Borawski Caiger of Clay Twp., MI. and Kara (Thomas) Borawski Kaufman of Marine City, MI., great granddaughters Kayla Kaufman, Kylie Kaufman, Julianna Caiger, and Isabella Caiger, step-grandchildren Derek Disbro of Duluth, GA., and Danica Disbro Nead of Chelsea, MI. and a step-great grandson Mason Nead.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Henry “Bud” Coneby and Joyce Coneby Clarke.
