Cathy we are so very sorry for the loss of your sister Maureen. Our prayers go out to you and your family, especially your dear parents. We only met Maureen a couple of times, but she was a very sweet and beautiful lady. You are in our thoughts and prayers 🤗🌹💞

Cousin Maureen, How sad it is you passing so young. Growing up we never had opportunity to spend much time together, however Anne and I enjoyed seeing you and meeting Garret when we were visiting the river house in recent years. Having a beer and cheese burger at Snoopys and reminising was fun. Seeing Garret who is a fine young man and how apparent it is his love for you and yours for him is a testament to you as a mother. I tip my hat to you as well for all of your years of teaching and mentoring our youth especially in such a challenging work environment. You deserved your retirement!! You will always be in our hearts and prayers. Someday I will see you again on the other side. Love You!

My condolences to the entire family. I enjoyed working and laughing with Maureen at Kelly. I enjoyed swapping ‘boy mom’ stories with her. I will always remember her laugh.

Rest In Peace Maureen. I enjoyed working with you years ago in East Detroit schools. You taught me so much about curriculum and how to be a great educator. We had a lot of fun times with our team. I enjoyed the oak wood picnics up at your home and the wonderful time you invited me over to swim and hang out. Thank you for everything you did for kids over your career. Rest In Peace Your memory will never be forgotten.

Garrett. Pam and I are totally upset. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. I will always be there for you as I have been for the last 25yrs. As Mike is your Godfather I feel that I was too. I am sure your mother is in Heaven looking down and asking God to keep you safe.

Garrett, I am so sorry about your mom, my Aunt Maureen, tragically passing at this time. She was such a huge foundation for this family and she cared so much about all her friends and family, especially with you. I know how much she loved you and you two were such a great pairing. She always reached out to me whenever it was my birthday, Christmas, or any other major holiday wishing me the happiest of days. She will be with us always, and I will always be here for you Garrett any time you need to talk to someone, help with anything, or even a simple, yet fun, hangout as we are family but also friends for life. I love you and Aunt Maureen.

If roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my sister's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss on her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering is easy, I do it every day. But there is an ache within my heart that will never go away. In loving memory of my sister, Maureen. (If Roses grow in Heaven, Victoria Lawson)
