With Burial at St. Catherine Cemetery

Stephen Christopher Sharrow age 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday February 20, 2022.

Steve was a life-long resident of Algonac, and attended the St. Catherine & St. Mark Schools, Algonac Community Schools, St. Clair County Community College and Western Michigan University.

He worked for Sharrow’s Service and retired from Meijer’s.  He was preceded in death by his parents Patricia and Edward Sharrow, and his brother Mark.  He is survived by his sisters Susanne (Bill) Sharrow-Christopher, Diane (Rich Clarizio) Sharrow, and Laura (Tom) Bianchi, his brothers Mike (Pam) Sharrow, and Jim Sharrow; ten nieces and nephews (Luke, Joe, Frank, Zac, Kaycie, Caitlin, Chris, Nick, Arthur, and Bruce).

Steve was an award-winning runner for the Algonac High School track team coached by Roger Avers.  Steve enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and working with electronic devices, bikes, cars, and snowmobiles.  He was the 1974 Michigan International Snowmobile Association State Champion, and raced in the 1976 Soo 500, Alpena 250 and the Winnipeg to St. Paul Snowmobile Races.

Steve was diagnosed later in life with autism and with a brain injury due to a work accident.  His family would like to thank the community and friends for accommodating and watching over Steve in rough times and a tough world.  Services will be private with burial at St. Catherine Cemetery, Algonac.
